There’s something about a Stevens Point senior session in the fall that just hits different.
The colors, the light, the mix of nature and downtown… it gives you so much variety without needing to go far at all.
Daniel’s session was the perfect example of that.
We started his session out at Schmeeckle Reserve in Stevens Point, which is one of my go-to spots for fall senior photos.
The boardwalks, the trees, the water — it’s one of those places that always photographs so well, especially when everything starts to turn.
Daniel went with a more casual look here, and it fit the setting perfectly. Nothing overdone, just clean, relaxed, and natural.
We kept things moving the whole time so nothing felt stiff or overly posed — which is especially important for guy senior sessions. A lot of times it’s less about “posing” and more about creating movement and letting things feel natural.
After Schmeeckle, we headed downtown — and this is where the session took a completely different turn (in the best way).
Daniel changed into a suit, and it instantly elevated the entire vibe of the session.
The mix of the architecture, textures, and that cleaner downtown look paired with the suit made everything feel so polished and intentional.
And honestly, him and his mom did such a good job planning this out. Having two completely different looks like that makes your gallery feel so much more complete.
This is something I always recommend, especially for senior guys.
Starting with something more casual and then switching into a dressier outfit (like a suit or button-up) gives you:
It keeps everything from looking repetitive and adds a ton of variety without overcomplicating things.
Daniel made this session so easy.
He wasn’t overly posed, didn’t try too hard — everything just felt natural, which is exactly what you want for senior photos.
Especially for guys, the goal isn’t to force anything. It’s to keep things simple, give a little direction, and let the personality come through.
And that’s exactly what we did.
If you’re looking for senior photos in Stevens Point WI, this is honestly one of the best ways to plan your session.
Start with a nature location like Schmeeckle:
Then head downtown for a second look:
You get the best of both without needing to travel far.
If you’re looking for a senior photographer in Stevens Point WI and want something that feels natural, not awkward, and actually fits your style — I’d love to help you plan it out!
Whether you’re going for something more laid-back, more styled, or a mix of both like this session, we’ll make it feel like you.
