Personal Touch- Backyard Engagement Session On The Wisconsin River

I had the most perfect time with Alexa and Michael capturing their engagement session! The love between them was infectious, and the joy of their engagement was so fresh because they got engaged just two days prior! I think the happiness really shined through in their engagement photos along the Wisconsin River.

The first half of our session was done in the actual backyard that the proposal took place. This was a great idea on their part to add more memories into the images. It’s almost like we relived their proposal, and thats what engagement sessions should feel like! Picture this: a cozy nook by the Wisconsin River, with a sunset and family nearby. It was the perfect setting to capture their love story.

Scenic Views Of The Wisconsin River

After the first half of the session in the backyard, we took our session to the riverwalk. It was the cutest walkway along the river with a bridge to add the final touch. A more open space gave a different feel in the images that we both were hoping for. We got to do some piggy back rides, fun walking poses, and more.

Ending the Engagement Session

As the sun set, casting a warm glow over the river, we wrapped up our session filled with memories to cherish. Alexa and Michael reminded us that beauty can be found in the simplest of moments. I am so grateful to a photographer who captures engagements, and I am grateful to have been a part of their journey and can’t wait to see where life takes them next.
